MOTT - Led by senior Josie Glaser’s 17 points, the Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team defeated Mott-Regent 45-30, on Monday, Jan. 8 in Mott, extending their record to 7-4 and 2-2 in Region 7. Glaser also led the Titans with two assists and four steals.

The first quarter had the workings of a close game, with the Wildfire leading 9-8. The Titans went on to outscore Mott-Regent 27-7 in the middle two quarters.

The Wildfire kept kicking, outscoring Dickinson Trinity 14-10 in the final frame, but the deficit was too great to overcome.

“It took us about a quarter, but we applied a lot of pressure and started to get to them in the second and third quarters,” Titans head coach Carter Fong said via text. “We forced many turnovers and got ourselves to the line. It was another cold shooting night, but our defense has been a constant.”

The Titans forced 28 turnovers and shot 10-of-29 from the foul line.
