Two Dickinson State pitchers earned Dakota Athletic Conference pitcher of the week honors after strong performances last week.
Junior Jamil Acosta won baseball pitcher of the week after going 2-0 and striking out 15 over 14 1/3 innings. He had an earned-run average of 1.26 in the wins and lowered his season ERA to 2.03, which is best in the DAC.
He is now 5-1 on the season and is 3-0 in the DAC.
Sara Jane Webster went 5-0 and had two saves and threw her third no-hitter of the season to earn her third DAC softball pitcher of the week award of the season.
Webster threw 30 2/3 innings over the week and allowed just one earned run and struck out 62 while walking nine. She now has a 14-2 record on the season.
