Two DSU volleyball players pick up postseason awards

Following a 7-23 season that brought the Dickinson State volleyball team to the first round of the conference tournament, two Blue Hawks earned postseason awards, as announced by the North Star Athletic Association on Monday, Nov. 12.

Following a 7-23 season that brought the Dickinson State volleyball team to the first round of the conference tournament, two Blue Hawks earned postseason awards, as announced by the North Star Athletic Association on Monday, Nov. 12.

Junior middle blocker Kadara Marshall was named to the All-Conference first team. She posted 70 blocks for the Blue Hawks as well as 185 kills, accruing a .231 hitting percentage. She also earned 11 aces on the year over 113 sets played.

Senior setter Brianna Holland was named a Champion of Character. The Stanley native appeared in nine games this fall, earning 34 assists, as well as nine digs, two aces and a kill.

Hazen graduate Autumn Johnson, a senior right side for Valley City State, was also named a Champion of Character. Johnson tallied 185 kills and 76 blocks, while contributing 39 digs for the Vikings.
