GLENDIVE, Mont. -- Dickinson State pitcher Sara Jane Webster never really faltered on Saturday afternoon.
The sophomore tossed a no-hitter to help the Blue Hawks beat Mayville State 13-0 in the first game of a doubleheader and hit a solo home run and threw 5 1/3 innings of relief in the team's 9-8 nine-inning victory in Game 2.
"She must have been feeling good today," DSU coach Guy Fridley said. "She did some special things."
Webster scored the game-tying run on a Vanessa Adame single in the bottom of the seventh inning, and kept Mayville State at bay in the eighth and ninth to set up Kyrstin Gemar's pinch-hit single that sent home Amanda Perrott for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
It was the first major impact Gemar, a junior college transfer, has made this season.

"Kyrstin is a big stick in our lineup and we're going to count on her for a lot of things," Fridley said. "We're just fortunate enough to have somebody like her to call upon to come off the bench and get a big hit."
Adame went 5-for-6 with three RBI and was one of four players to gather multiple hits for the Blue Hawks, who had 16 in the second game.
Adame was one of five players who went 2-for-3 in the first game. Webster, Gemar, Erika Arvizo and Jody Lantz all had two hits as DSU got 14.
DSU scored all of its runs in the first two innings.
Webster drove in four runs while striking out 14 and walking just one en route to her no-hitter. The walk scratched her chance at a second straight perfect game.
"She's just a special player in terms of what she brings," Fridley said. "You don't see a lot of players in the country who are as multi-dimensional as her. She's just a complete player."
