SALT LAKE CITY - The Dickinson State mens basketball team was shut down by Westminster College (Utah) from the beginning.
The Griffins pulled away for the 42-point, 104-62 win Thursday night.
This was the largest point margin for a loss by DSU, as well as the most points allowed on the year.
DSU’s offense was weak, hitting 19 of 49 (39 percent) shots and just 2 of 12 (17 percent) 3-pointers. Junior guard Tevin Russell led the team in points and rebounds with 15 and four.
For the Griffins, senior forward Tallon Robertson ran wild on the court and recorded a game-high 23 points and eight rebounds. Colton Moon, Blake Skidmore and Jordan Pryor combined for 44 points.
DSU travels to take on Montana Western at 4 p.m. Saturday.
