JAMESTOWN - The Dickinson State men’s cross country team placed second at the Jimmie Invitational on Friday, and the Blue Hawks women’s team placed third.
Dickinson State sophomore Amanda Wolff paced the Blue Hawks, coming in fifth place in 19 minutes, 4.0 seconds. She finished behind a trio of Minnesota State-Moorhead runners and one from Minot State.
Moorhead took the women’s team title with an overall score of 25. Dickinson State turned in a score of 76.
Ashly Kraenzel placed 10th for DSU in 19:17, and Christina Herrera was 15th in 19:43. Completing the Blue Hawks’ scoring were Brittney Grove in 19th place (19:57) and Lisa Townsend in 27th (21:26).
On the men’s side, Moorhead took the team title with an overall score of 15, a product of having the five top runners. DSU was next with a team score of 66, led by Christopher Moreno in 10th place (26:44) and Ernest Franssen III in 11th place (26:45). Blue Hawks also filled spots 14-16 in the results with Jonathan Aman (27:21), Tristen Guillot (27:22) and Daniel Aguirre (27:29).
