Over the past two weeks Dickinson has been marred by a rash of industrial business burglaries occurring in the northeast commercial area of the city. In total, 8 businesses were burglarized since September 9, including that of State Representative Luke Simons. The Dickinson Police Department had limited evidence to identify and arrest the person or persons responsible, but on Monday announced that they had made an arrest.
