Oscar Gilberto “la Borre” Gandara, 37, of Liberal, Kansas, died Sept. 15 from injuries he suffered in the drilling rig accident in North Dakota, according to his obituary. Gandara and two of his coworkers were badly burned in the explosion.
A late afternoon two-alarm fire was successfully extinguished in the vicinity of 1st Street West in Dickinson on Monday, according to the Dickinson Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched at 12:43 a.m., but found the home in flames.

Fire on second floor was out within 10 minutes
The Dickinson Rural Fire Department were dispatched to a field fire Monday afternoon, and the fire was contained within 30 minutes of the emergency responders' arrival.
The Dickinson Fire Department was called to the West River Community Center on Friday evening.
