BISMARCK—The North Dakota Industrial Commission revoked the permit this week from a McKenzie County oilfield facility caught illegally dumping waste, but questions remain about how and when the seven-month-old mess will be cleaned up. A state inspector observed an employee of Apollo Resources intentionally pumping drilling mud and wastewater onto a rancher's pasture in October in McKenzie County, Industrial Commission records show.
BISMARCK — A woman who helped prosecutors send her ex-husband to prison for life for an oil boom murder-for-hire plot was given a lenient sentence Monday, June 5, for her role in their joint Bakken investment scheme. Sarah Marie Creveling, formerly of Watford City, will serve three years of supervised probation for a felony conviction of conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Prosecutors said the sentence reflects her cooperation in the murder case.
